About this Database
- The world's largest scholarly, multi-disciplinary full text database.
- Access to more than 3,000 full-text journals/magazines, 2,500 active full-text peer reviewed journals and over 1,000 active full-text peer-reviewed journals with no embargo (access to the most recent articles, as they are published).
- Offers indexing and abstracts for more than 8,200 journals.
- Provides access to topical video content, your search results will include relevant Associated Press video footage.

Keyword Searching
Follow these steps to search this database:
- Enter your search terms / keywords. (To search for a phrase, put the words into quotation marks).
- Limit your search results:
- Full Text: Check this box to limit results to include only materials available in Full Text. Helpful when doing last-minute research and you don't have time to wait for interlibrary loan requests. This limiter may drastically reduce the number search results.
- Peer Reviewed: Check this box to ensure your search results only include items reviewed by other experts in the field.
- Publication Date: Filter to All Time; Past 12 months; Past 5 Years; Past 10 years; or Custom range (use this to get more specific with the date).
- Publication Type: Select specific types like Academic Journal, Periodical, Reference Book, etc.
- Document type: looking for materials in a specific format? Choose from Abstract, Article, Book, Chapter, & more.
- Number of Pages: Filter to greater than, less than, or equal to.
- Click "Search"

The Results List
From the results page you can:
- Use the additional filters to narrow your results. You can select:
- Full Text
- Peer Reviewed
- Change the date range
- Select the Source Type
- Click All Filters to open the list of additional filters:
- Subject
- Publisher
- Publication
- Company
- Language
- Under each item there is a dropdown of Access Options. You will see:
- Access now (PDF)
- Illiad Access Wolfgram
- PDF
- Online full text
Article Detail
The Detailed Record
PDF documents are digital versions of the original print version and will look exactly the same as the print version. They include the following:
- Original page numbers
- Graphs, tables, and charts
- Full list of references
Accessing the electronic versions of articles through our online databases, offers you additional features and functionality that is not available in print. The detailed record includes the following:
- Access Options and Download
- Opening the Access Options dropdown will show the PDF or Online Full Text. Opening the Online Full Text includes the option to listen to the article. If you see ILLiad Wolfgram, we don't have the article but you can request it from another institution.
- Select the Download button to download the article as a PDF.
- Bibliographic information, including clickable links to the author(s) name(s) which can be used to find other work by the author(s). Also included are the clickable title of the journal the article was published in, as well as the volume, issue, and page numbers. Below you will also find the abstract and other important information.
- Hyperlinked Subject Terms and author-supplied keywords. These can be used to find other searchable keyterms.
- The DOI (Digital Object Identifier) will be displayed if available. Use this in your citation to always link to the correct article.
- Some additional tools you have access to are:
- Save the article
- Cite: You can choose the citation style you need. NOTE: Always review them for accuracy
- Share using the provided URL or email it to yourself.
